riyadh metro station

Riyadh / Saudi Arabia

Riyadh Metro is considered as the world largest infrastructure project apart from China.

Currently, the population of the capital city of Riyadh is expending from 6.9 million people to reach by 2030 about 8.3 million.

The rapid growth of the population in Riyadh and the lack of alternative transport system besides car or taxis is affecting the daily commute and mobility in the city.

The project aims to increase significantly the existing public transport which represent only 2% compare to 80% of private owned car.

The Riyadh Transit Network system will be built across 176km with 6 lines of fully automated metro serving 85 stations and in addition 1900km of bus network with 3000 stops.

The design development of the metro station are composed as a unified architectural gesture.
